the Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

Summary: Sisters Lennie and Bailey Walker have always been close, so close that Lennie doesn’t know who she is without her sister. But when older sister, Bailey, suddenly dies while rehearsing for a play, Lennie feels lost and has to cope with Bailey’s death.  Lennie must go through grief with her eccentric grandma who is obsessed with her garden and her uncle who has had five failed marriages. Lennie must try to get on her life without her “other half”. Not only those she has to cope with her sister’s death but she also has to choose between two amazing guys. One is Toby, Bailey’s boyfriend who understands Lennie, or Joey, the musically-gifted new goy from France.

Why I picked it up: I picked it up because it was recommended to me.

Why I kept reading it: I kept reading it because the book was so witty, funny, romantic, and heartbreaking at the same time.

Who would I give it to next:  I would give it to all girls who enjoy books filled with eccentric characters, realistic, romantic, hilarious, and heartwarming emotions in every page.
